Well into the 20th century, ships were usually the only means of importing goods and information from over.At the same time, a ship at sea is a different world, an isolated environment without kin.
The Marine Navigation Exhibit at The National Museum of Germany, in Munich, displayed is the development of sailing ships, freighters and boats, passenger ships and ferries. Also is all about life on board, propulsion, shipbuilding theory and general shipbuilding.
The most popular exhibitions are: the fishing vessel "Maria"
and rescue cruiser of the "Theodor Heuss"class from 1960.
