Australian Sailing Museum

The "Australian Sailing Museum" in Mandurah, Western Australia, was conceived and founded by local sailing icon Rolly Tasker and his wife Kerry. 

 

The building construction is a stunning example of marine architecture and has been dubbed Mandurah's 'Little Opera House'. 

It offers a comprehensive display of of sailing stories on boards, over 200 to scale model yachts, 10 life like fibre-glass figures of famous sailours,club pennants, history of Australian sailing from the 1800's, America's Cup history, marine art. 

Also incorporated is the Peninsula Art Gallery including marine artwork by John Mecray, Willard Bond and Geoff Hunt. A major feature is the Rolly Tasker Collection, the first and only complete set of fine art illustrations of all of the yachts that have sailed for the America's Cup through its history.
